this happens yesterday at 1245am.

salam.

on thursday the 27th,me and my mom went back to KL from kuantan on a bus ride.the journey started at about 9pm from kuantan and we reached kl around 1245am.it wrote on the ticket that our stop is at the pekeliling station.i thought that it literally meant "THE pekeliling station",but actually it turned out to be a bus stop under the titiwangsa lrt station opposite the pekeliling station? what daaa? haha! omg.that place which is usually littered by lotsa people during the day is very much deserted at night.you can actually count the numbers and it is less than your digits! the funny thing is,it is exactly by the road side where the cars are passing by.but, i do feel it is unsafe thinking that will there be anyone kind enuff to stop and give a hand? sigh.

so we waited for my dad to pick us up--in fear? the first few minutes was okay and nothing actually happened.later, a guy in green shirt&jeans and carrying a backpack approached us from somewhere behind.he had this look that seriously gives you the creep~.he walked towards us and sat like a feet away from me. yeeellllppp! he was starring and I swear i didn't see him blinking.i heard him mumbling sumthing and i guess he was actually trying to make a conversation or asking something i don't know, but i totally ignored him.i was holding on to my luggage and handbag as tightly as possible and my heart was beating ever so fast! adrenaline rush as i figured it out. i watched him from the corner of my eye in case he is doing anything funny.got myself ready with everything,if anything happens to us i guess i still remembers that taekwondo that ive learned from somewhere in the past. haha! so not! at least i know how to punch..*wink*.not long after that,a glimpse of my dad's car was in view and we cautiously stood up and started walking towards the car.instantaneously, the queer guy also stood up, again mumbling sumthing which sounded like ".....mampus" and went back from where he came from.what was thattt?!! as if it was planned. the moment we are about to make our move,he too decided to "chao".so, he's not sitting there to wait for the bus or something? yikes! i guess my face must have turned pale becoz my dad have sensed that sumthing is not right the moment we stepped in the car.syukur abah was there and nothing bad actually happened. phew! abah managed to reach pekeliling and pick us up in less than 15 minutes? i wonder at what speed he was driving at? uhuh.

the city can seriously turned out to be a very different place at night.totttaaally different.at night, it seems like a different set of people roamed the streets.I wonder where they came from. and i guess safety is at stake especially if you're a girl and unable to run due to carrying heavy luggages! at times like these you really have to doa banyak2 and ask for His protection against any bad things or any bad intentions that a person might have on you.we were lucky at that time as there is someone who is actually coming to the rescue to pick us up.what if you have to make your own way back? isn't it risky? always be aware that unexpected things happen and we might be one of those victims who are at the wrong place and at the wrong time.

so girls,do take care of yourself well.at such times,it makes me understand the importance of hijab.it should be understood that it serves not only to cover the pretty hair we have, but also from the looks of the ajnabis.and it serves as a protection as well as the respect it honours upon its wearers.many things that this little thing can do eyh? hehe.

for any of you who have sisters, mothers or any female friends,DO NOT let them wander alone at night especially to "silent places" such as these.its really freaky im telling ya! have the courtesy to call and ask them where they are at these hours and prevent any of these things from happening. prevention is better than cure!

LE TOUR DE INDIA:trip to KODAIKANAL!

salam.

8th November 2007.
KODAIKANAL
(ko-dai-ka-nal) is a high station about 7000feet above sea level
and is sumwhere in Tamil NAdu.its suprisingly freezing cold with the temperature is as low as 10 degrees.with all of us unprepared physically and expecting it to be like Cameron Higlands,--we were dead wrong. (except for Mar,who is comfortably cocooned in her pink 'UK' sweater). our journey on thursday,8th November 2007,started at about 9pm from sri sadhana's place in Bangalore and we reached at about 7am the NEXT morning in Kodaikanal.the roads are winding and it took us 2 and a half hours just to travel from the foot of the mountain to top!*omajawsh*.i sat in the car wif a "tiger balm" in my hands and a plastic bag on my lap--just in case.don't worry people! no one barfed!

this place is just beautifuuul~ =) the houses are located on hilly areas and there is no industrial activity whatsoever.untouched?
the cows here are even larger! but bout the colour blindness, I don't know..hehe.

i guess, this place is one of the historical places where the Brits use to stay.almost all of the bulidings have some english touch and the houses are cottage like.(somehow,it doesn't make you feel like India..haha!) the buldings are built from stones with the breadth of the walls is about a feet and a half! (it keeps you warm..yeah,i know.but what about in cases of fire? =O) Van Allen maternity hospital

on the first day of arrival, the six of us,me,mar, mas syikin, anas and farid, went sh0pping!(what daa?) yup..about an hour upon arrival actually..
we came to know that a majority of the people here are from Kashmir.many of them are Muslims whom had migrated here at least 30 years ago. and of course, the goods for trade here are Kashmir's famous items such as very-very preety Pashminas, carved wooden boxes, marble boxes, handmade carpets, materials for clothes, precious stones rings&stuff and furnitures.(be patient aunties!)
HOME-MADE
CHOCOLATES are one of the specialty of Kodaikanal.we bought l0ts of it! nyum!

aidilfitri di perantauan

salam.

EID MUBARAK minna-san~! selamat hari raya aidil fitri, maaf
zahir&batin.. hehe.umm.raya for this year is totally unlike any other. its soOoo different being away from family members.tak leh la nak salam2 with my loved ones on the very special morning of hari raya..instead of raya-ing in davangere, the 4 of us decided to join the heap of malaysian students in BANGALORE.whee~!terubat la jugak sedih even though tak dapat raye kat rumah wif mami, abah, meme, adek n everyone! including bebeh&dodo..*sob2* luckily,we do have solat
raye&khutbah as well..alhamdulillah.and of course..FOOD! nyum! who would
have guessed,that actually almost everyone
really CAN cook! blasah2 pon, it turned out right! ha!

"bangalore-ians and bapuji-ans: from left: farid,anas,mar,mas,me&apek"

"bangalore-ians"

"the tent is called 'igar' where underneath it the muslims perform their solat aidilfitri together"
in front: an "active" railway track that never fails to wake up every single soul in Fien's apartment on every 30 minutes...

"SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDIL FITRI MAAF ZAHIR&BATIN"

let's talk 'bout colour blindness..

salam.

"colour blindness"
DEF: the failure to appreciate one or more colours. Colour blindness is common in 8% of males and only 0.4% in females, as mostly colour blindness in an inherited sex linked recessive character. In addition to hereditary conditions, colour blindness also occurs due to acquired conditions such as ocular disease or injury or disease of retina. The term 'colour blind' does not mean that objects are only seen in black and white. Total colour blindness is very rare. There are many types and degrees of color blindness. The most appropriate term for colour blindness is deficiency of colour vision. Dichromatism is a type of colour blindness whereby, the subject can appreciate only two colours. It can be further specified to PROTANOPIA. In this case, the defect is the receptor of the primary colour, i.e. red. So, the red colour cannot be appreciated. The persons having protanopia are called protanopes. The use blue and green to match the colours. Thus, they CONFUSE RED WITH GREEN.

hehe.

one fine sunny day,the 4 of us (me,mas, mar&shikin) decided to wear our baju kurung to class.. so everyone was looking "ayu&sopan" haha!not!

me&mar in
blue.
shikin in pink.
mas in
HOT RED.

as were walking out from the guest house to the gate, I saw se-ekor
lembu hitam&anak tunggalnya sedang berjalan-jalan berhampiran pagar.from far,I can tell that the cow (mother, i think) was looking our way.huhu..so we started to b0rak:

"eyh, korang rase lembu kat sneh bute warne tak?",i said.
"mane ade laa..lembu kat spain jer yang suke kaler merah--spanish cows.. lembu india tak"
mas said,with confidence.

as we reached the gate, all the 4 of us was suprised sebab
lembu tadi sudah berhenti berjalan dan sedang menunggu kami di pagar.(whaa?) we were freakin' scared, bcoz it started to make its way towards us!--specifically masliana (=P).hehe. me&mar made a quick escape and jumped inside the otto (we probably got away easily as we were in blue). shikin pon terlepas jugak as she hid behind the gate. the cow seriously was barging towards mas..and its big! no kiddin'..the cows here are one and a half size of Malaysian cows..(wh000sh!)

kami semua dah tersangat cuak dan masliana p0n dah terjerit2.luckily,
the otto driver was kind enuff and helped to shoo the cow away..masliana was saved! or else, she must have been some big-black-herbivore lunch! hehe. sebbaik la ade orang nak tolong..haih! so from that day, masliana tak0t dan cuak whenever ade lembu.she swore n0t to wear that HOT RED tudung again.heh.. I guess, that c0w is s00oo suffering from colour blindness neh! die mesti nampak mas as a MOVING GREEN BUSH! wheee~! (wahh! sedapnyer rumput!)

so the moral of the story is:

1.cows to0oo suffer from colour blindness.

2.Indian cows pon buleh pegi spain for bull fight! hehe.

3.NEVER-EVER WEAR
HOT RED in the presence of a cow.
4.NEVER-EVER WEAR
HOT RED in the presence of a cow.
5.NEVER-EVER WEAR
HOT RED in the presence of a cow.
p/s:pink is acceptable since shikin got away?

the journey

salam.

21st August 2007.

finally, all of us safely reached india.hehe..the journey was kinda treacherous (?)
starting form the plane ride itself.. sigh.T-U-R-B-U-L-E-N-C-E at the Bay of Bengal, o'coz.and at that very time,we were served dinner--chicken curry. g0odness.=|

estimation of total travelling hours from home to davangere: bdr. sri damansara to KLIA : +/- 1 hour (at a NORMAL speed car ride)
kl-bangalore flight : +/- 4 hours (900kms/hr plane speed)
bangalore-davangere : +/- 7 hours (70kms/hr) on coaster ride?
for a 265kms distance? =0

"an aye opener" like abah said.hehe..the 70kms/hr coaster ride was a journey like no other.sOoo many new things to see.things that i thot i might only see it on Tv..whooOsh!

1.cows
2.buffalos
3.goats
4.sheeps

5.windmills! really pretty =)

"windmills...scattered on the green hills of chittradurga"

6.sunflower farm! yellow-ness~
7.people carrying water bucket on their heads
8.bus filled with people in & OUT (any ideas?)

oh yeah...pig..pigs..pigss..pigsss.

on the coaster, obviously everyone SLEEPS like yell...though outside, the "sound of horns"-- =) are hooting endlessly.
believe it or not,"PLEASE SOUND HORN" signs are painted on almost every vehicle here.this is REALLY something new..in Malaysia, horn means..."what daa?!", "oi,tepi sikit", "de neh tak pandai bawak kete ker"..hehe.but here,it means,"tumpang lalu..","tepi sikit,I nak lalu neh","car comin'!" so basically, the high-pitched horn is heard on almost every second.i find it amusing =P (luckily, the airplanes have no horns! =P)

we reached bapuji guest house,finally.*phew*. ehem, the c0aster..this is it.. 70kms/hr coaster! yeah!

REGISTRATION at the Bapuji Dental College&Hospital. OUR c0llege!~ yippee.

JOGFALLS the second highest waterfall in the world..I swear I just knew it.hehe! we went here about a week after arriving in india.this waterfall is one of the attractions of Karnataka state.they said that this place is nearby..yeah! its five hours journey man! dekat betol! we passed through a few places to get here..among them is Shimoga City, which looks like Davangere, probably a bit larger i think.but, jogfalls is beautiful anyway..

this is an
three-wheeler..or an "OTTO" (od-dho),they call it--my taxi to school!

well, living here is definitely something..and I am yet to discover more~

I*N*D*I*A*

salam.

last tuesday at about 4.32pm -- while i'm learning how to make "sup ayam yg sedap" [wheee~], i received a phone call from an unfamiliar voice. it was a lady's voice -- cik aisyah from JPA. in the middle of "smangat memasak yang membara" hehe..suddenly she congratulated me & said that i was offered to do dentistry in
india.. =). Alhamdulillah! the place is called bapuji dental college & hospital, situated in devangere (pronounced: di-van-gi-ri). my m0m once pronounced it as deh-van-gear..haha! ala, macam richard gere tuh..and my abah..pergh..lagi dahsyat..deh-van-ger-reh..s0unds like lingerie to me!..teheee. skeri betol. umm..the place is 265kms from mangalore, and a few hours on d train. it has a semi-tropical weather..which means,de ade musim panas, hujan and winter? d0nt get me wrong ppl,n0 sn0w! definitely. tp sej0k la..d0wn to 15 degrees celcius..huhu. (melepas aku nk men sn0w) anyway, its a town wif l0tsa other edu institutions..s0 macam pekan pelajar..=). yesterday, i went to JPA for a meeting bout the uni. i dunn0 why..but i find it kinda exciting..haha! mcm best gak..bec0z as we kn0w,in india,we'll have to encounter many hands-on cases..early exposure giler2.just imagine,at the end of 2nd year dah start wat clinical.that is so0oo early. if in malaysia, we'll be d0ing that like on the third year k0t.whaaa! and in third year,we'll get to go and check gigi orang ramai in a "klinik-gigi-bergerak!" y0y0! this is sumthing really different..(ingat ade library bergerak je?) klinik tuh is dalam bas la tapi..wahwah! walaupun bas die tak se-cun bas kmb and m0re like bas selangor merah tuh je..(this is gonna be remembered for eternity) siyess..pstuh,kat di-van-gi-ri tuh,the main mode of transport is by "ot-to" (tak tau la cammane nak sebut).but if u guys by chance watched a hindi movie, that thing is a three-wheeler yg x de pintu tuhh..yeahhh! giler buleh jadik stuntman aku pas nehh.. =D. tak pon, they go on motorcycles -- ade 2 brand glemer in india --bajaj&maruti. a cousin of mine, angah, cakap malaysian student if pegi sane can afford to buy a motorcycle k..fuyy0Ooo! rase macam nak try lak..giler arh.dah la paling takot naik moto..ahaha! in terms of f0od,mmg n0 hal IA.bec0z, even the cafe serves halal food..besides,im already t0oo used to mamak's fud here en..ekeke! ill be g0in wif all my dentistry clans which are mar,mas & shikin. all the 4 of us are IA confirmed to go to bapuji. as for the rest, hada, ika&ad,they're still waiting for liverp0ol. kamil already g0t a place in ire..c0ngratz! (he act g0t a call from aedumus mase meeting ngan JPA,buleh tak?) hehe..my unc said, the kain there, esp cotton,is DIRT CHEAP. so my mak long lak cakap, "we'll be wearing saris for raye from this day on", eheh.. yeah!

i really am bersyukur that i got india, after being rejected to ire..baru sedar betapa i really want to do dentistry, regardless the place. i believe, sume dak ib p0n feel the same way gak en? b4 this,i have doubts on what i want to do, (tanye iman!) and all that have happened in this short time, really have sh0wn me the way..
He's plans mmg hebat bet0l.pstuh,hari tuh baru tsedar, all this while,i have never prayed for ireland..but what i did was,doa "yang terbaik". a very simple doa,but sebnrnye mmg menguji keimanan bet0l! kite xkan mungkin tau how it felt unless kite go through it ourselves, aight? s0,just hold on tightly to your prayers..

umm..india is undoubtedly,--totally different from ire (which im supposed to be goin to..hehe). its n0t just the place, but m0st importantly, what this place will teach me about life ahead. id be totally seeing things from the other way round and i pray that it will teach me bout resilience and my strengths that i never knew...ameen.wheee~!

190707

salam.

190707.
this day is one of the most wonderful days of my life! whee~! despite that "ONE" incident, too many good news from all my loved ones today. I just love it. lemme give a full account of what I've been through today:

11.37a.m
met my two-years long lost friend -- Syarifah Aiesyah Shahirah Al-Edrus. we had a girls' day out at Midvalley - ice blended cappucino at Coffee Bean ("I'm sooo a caffeinated-coffee-addict!"), then, shoppin!

incident "ONE"--went to *** shop and almost cracking up my temper to an insolent sales girl which has an "ear-length brunette-dyed hair added with a few streaks of red highlights"(*). to tell ya the truth, actually, the scenario is worse as there are TWO of them. the other one has ugly curls. they are so ill-mannered that they made me wonder.."why are they hired again?..they've been doin' nothing but gossiping, loafing around and chasing off customers!". know wut?...I tried on a few garments, and as I was returning it to the(*), she snatched it off me & shot me a dirty look! whaaaaa?? BE PATIENT & COMPOSED, jaja. luckily,I wasn't at a hormone raging stage or else I'd be screaming my head-off and creating a scene!

being a hard-core consumers' right practitioner,I didn't let her off easily...definitely a no no.I went up to the person in charge and complaint.I tell her "your employee whom is currently working at the fitting room is rude..she's the one with the (*). I think you should do something about her..". eee! geram! mind me,I do have a few bad memories with sales person and it REALLY taught me to not let yourself to be stepped on by others!

next, we bought a new-scented VASELINE lotion...soy & oat! i am fond of this sales girl. polite & non-judgemental. =) thanx for the good assistance! you make me feel like coming to your shop again! [why can't (*) be more like this one?]

around 3.54p.m
reached aliaa's house. made chempedak goreng (nyum2! cah-lor-rees) wif her and suraya (aliaa's friend).

late evening
gOt a breaking news from mak long...kakak is accepted to Cardiff!!!! wheee~! she's pursuing her masters in orthodontics. omagoshhh! she's flying in september. kakak is soo inspirational,I just know that she'll do well. she always has. I'm soooo happy for her. and Ill pray for her success. so guys, anyone with "bended&broken-teeth"?? teheee..

around 8.30p.m
mummy&abah picked me up. went for dinner. not forgetting, adek is there as well.

night, around 11p.m
on the net..on YahooMessenger wif a few friends&family members.gOt another breaking news!!! kak shaida, whom got married in April this year is pregnant!! 7 weeks old. whee~!!! hehe..so,a new family member is on the way.welcome to the clan! --Dahlan's Clans & Co. me & my cousins are now 'berangan-ing' (wha?) of being aunties and thoroughly busy discussing our pet names.
kakak - mak long?
yaya - cik ? (discussion in progress...)
aliaa - cik ally =p
me - cik joss (modified from ah joy)
that leaves one more..what bout bebeh? cik beh? cik flea? or cik ces? (ashes)

around 2.45a.m
crept into the living room, placed the birthday present and card for abah on the chair...(so, he sees it). he's turning 45!! (20072007) hehe..and still watchin TRANSFORMERS.

about 3a.m
hugging my pillow,in my blanket,dozed off...zZ.

"what a day!"

it's a false alarm~

salam.

date: 110707.
10.45pm
there were only two of us at home that night--me and my brother, shakeel, as my parents went out to class. my adek had just dozed off when I heard a creaking sound from the ceiling in my room...wooshhh! (tekejut berOk aku) seriously,it scares the crap outta me!! it sounded as if someone's walking in the ceiling. tehencut2,I crept into my adek's room and woke him up. luckily,he's not drifted 'too-far-away' in his sleep and senang bangun (tak macam kakak die)..hehe.

wif just whispering, "adek, ade bunyi atas siling," my adek woke up. phew! luckily,I wasn't the only one at home. (penakut gak sebenarnye) hurm. pstuh the two of us pon mulela act in defence..whee~! sbg pemain hOki yg telah bersara dgn jayanya,I still have a hockey stick in my room..(even though ade parts die yg dah nak tecabOt)..haha. well,at that very moment, my 'kayu-hoki-cabOk' was my saviour!!! (luv ya cabOk!) ape lagi, my 'kayu-hoki-cabOk' was my pengganti pistol. wahaha! my adek pulled out an arm's-length rod shaped stick from somewhere near his bed...(lagi hebat die neh). pastuh both of us started to blakon like James Bond. hahahha!

we went downstairs and stayed in the living room instead and tepi pintu. feared that 'the source of the creeping sound' decided to turun from the ceiling. ehehehe. in a super-low voice, I called directory 103 and asked for bdr sri damansara police station's number. she said they don't have it. tak de??!!! how can tak de??!!! what if....uh. takutnye. anyway, I unlocked the front door but wif the chain still attached...(in case we have to make a quick escape but at the same time, bejage2 if ade orang kat luar)...drama giler. so we waited for mummy&abah to come home instead..wif the fan in the living room SWITCHED OFF. panas bukan main! why it is switched off again? my 'TV influenced' adek said that it is so that we can hear the movements of 'the source of the creeping sound' better..kahkahkah.tp, betol la en. hurm.

soon after that, mummy&abah arrived. they are puzzled, very puzzled indeed, why both of us have 'pengganti pistol' in our hands, and muke cuak giler. haha! my dad pon gi la check the ceiling in all the rooms..ketok sini & sane and finally he said..."that area tuh siling die orang tak muat..mungkin kucing or burung..lain kali bace ayat kursi je"...wheee~! baik!

haha! so a lesson to all, next time bace la ayat kursi for pretection eyh. whether or not 'the source of the creeping sound', will come down from its safe haven (ceiling), is all within kuase Allah...whee~!
berlindunglah denganNya.

tribute to Iman

salam.

140707. I shall never forget this day, ever,as of today, the introvert me has turned into a blogger?heh. and it is all thanx to my classmate, schoolmate, roommate,my 'telepathic comrade' and my alarm clock in the mornings of IB--Nurul Iman Jamalul-lail. (p/s:oi Iman, bangun,it's noon!) ;p. this friend of mine is a bit scary as I may put it,as she KNOWS things a little too early before I blurt it out. is my body language too readable? woo. "geez Iman, stop venturing into my brain!..ure tresspassing!"..heh. with just a few batting eyelashes+cheeky smiles, Iman will go on saying things like,"ha m0n, awak nak ape?" or "amek la, ade dalam kotak (biskut lexus)," or the most famous one,"awak nak suroh kejut pukul brape?" hehe. I'm such a bully. no point doubting.

this is the list of my favourite bully targets:
1.cats (encem a.k.a miss kurr,dodo & bebeh)
2.Iman

"dats her all rite!"

wahahah! (evil-like)..urm. as I am the only daughter in my family (and Iman the only daughter in hers),I guess it made me feel like we're sisters *shweeet* hehe..tho I dont look like Aiman who has so much resemblance to Iman compared to me...hehe. the eyelashes, the handwriting, the face...omg. "both of you are twins!" dah la name diorang aiman & iman. whaaa?

then again, Iman & I are totally 2 different persons. she is everything that I am not. love kids, lemah lembut, suke beralah and most important--ske nangis. wuaaa! hehe. Iman is truly compassionate and it is sooo obvious you don't hafta think twice before confirming it. (okay Iman, berentila mengembang) wahaha..hurm. dodo the cat is calling. hafta make a run to bully her. yeeehhaaaaa~

to be bullied...
